Nicky Romero Kickstart 2

Dear producers, welcome to my review of the allround sidechain plugin “Kickstart” by Nicky Romero (engineered by the CableGuys)! This plugin is very famous and being used for sidechain compression and compatible with any DAW software such as FL Studio, Ableton, Reaper or any other!

Old but new design: The Kickstart 2 of Nicky Romero! Now in Yellow color.

The usage of the plugin

The plugin advertises: “instantly solves the problem of clashing, muddled kick and bass.”

Kickstart 2 is a plugin for adding the sidechain-effect to your DAW in a lightspeed! It has a simple and clean interface to add the rhythmic sidechain effect to your beats, especially to the bass or guitars. The version 1 of the plugin was already released like 10 years ago. Now, this version is completely reworked and offers a old-new way to add sidechain!

The price: €14 / $16 (free demo)

The price is very cheap. This little VST is amazing and only costs 16$. Wow.
And: The demo is for free. The demo is fully functional and has no time limit, but you can only use one instance per song and you can’t save your settings.

Main advantage: Sidechain in 1 click

With this plugin, the main advantage of it is to work fast. Really fast. Just add the VST to one of your channels and the effect begins to work. The interface is slick and clean, which also resolutes in a fast workflow.
Good job, Cableguys!
